Haute Event: Beyoncé and Jay-Z Turn Out For MoMA’s Armory Show
The Museum of Modern Art recently hosted its annual Armory Party, a benefit event with live music and DJs that celebrates the opening of The Armory Show. Over 500 high-profile Manhattanites including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Jessica Biel and Alexa Chung turned out for the event, which benefits exhibition programming for The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1.
Following a meet-and-greet with the show’s commissioned artist, Liz Magic Laser, and a tour of the sixth-floor galleries, guests were treated to a five-song set by Solange Knowles in the museum’s Agnes Gund Garden Lobby. According to the New York Post, Beyoncé was so proud of her sister’s performance that she “had to hold back tears.”
