On Sunday, April 7th, athletes, celebrities, corporate teams, and professional triathletes will join forces in Miami for the 6th Annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon. The annual race benefits St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital with a portion of the proceeds going directly to pediatric cancer research. The weekend kicks off Saturday April 6th with a Beach Expo for registration and clinics while the main event (the day of the actual race) takes place on April 7th. The race itself draws in thousands to shores at Lummus Park in Miami Beach, and has raised up to $1 million over the years.
And of course, celebrities in support of sweating it out for a good cause will be in attendance. TV host and personality Samantha Harris will serve as official event host and Hart of Dixie actress and Broadway singer Laura Bell Bundy will sing the National Anthem.
