Marc Jacobs presents Marc by Marc at Lincoln Center
Marc by Marc Jacobs presented his 70s inspired Fall Winter 2013 collection last night in the Lincoln Center theatre, which was filled to capacity with the who’s who of fashion. Anna Dello Russo sat with Oliver Zahm while other industry icons like Emmanuelle Alt, Amy Astley, Bryan Boy and Terry Richardson also filled the front row.The rain, snow and sleet conditions in the city resulted in his signature show being moved from Monday to Thursday and his MxM show being moved from Tuesday to Monday.
The retro themed show, loosely based on a voyage featured hatboxes as handbags in regal, deep navy blues and dark, chocolate browns. Oversized color blocked and plaid coats, ombré chunky knit sweaters and wide legs pants transitioned colors in shades of ox blood, bordeaux and blood orange. Excessively teased bed head and a cinnamon lip was sported as models came out in casual fitting silk tops and jumpsuits in an oversized painter interpretation of fall foliage.
