Haute Hangout: Drumbar Chicago

Drumbar

Sitting two hundred feet in the air, perched atop the Raffaello Hotel in the Gold Coast neighborhood is Drumbar (201 East Delaware Place). This upscale drinking establishment is all about warmth, style and an energetic combination of the old and new. Drumbar is a speakeasy style, multi-seasonal hotspot that features a 1,500 square foot outdoor garden terrace as well as the inside lounge. When you step inside you will understand just how elegant this place is with amazing archways and beautifully rich wood tones all over. The ambience is incredible, it’s a great place to just relax and “whet your whistle.”

With a beverage list that centers on bourbons, scotches and whiskeys it’s easy to see the speakeasy influence. Whether you’re indoors or the weather is good enough to enjoy the terrace, there is a small plate menu to accompany the liquid gold being served up at Drumbar. It’s a Menin Hotels concept and the drink menu is the brainchild of Chicago’s very own superstar mixologist Benjamin Newby, so you can expect nothing but the best from this haute hangout. And a heads up, casual wear is cool until 8pm, afterwards a dress code will be strictly enforced. If you want to know more about Drumbar, reserve a table or inquire about private events, click here.
