Valentine’s Day is only two days away and that means some are scrambling for a dinner reservation or a last minute gift. Often times this makes for some pretty crappy decisions, leading to crappy gifts and dinner plans. But I have two great options for you to avoid making that mistake.
The first option comes courtesy of Amy DiTomasso of Sugar Chic Designs. She has launched a new product just in time for Valentine’s Day and it’s called A Sweet Delivery. It’s a made to order, sweet and chic service created to delight the fashionable sweet lover. Highly stylized gourmet candy packages are delivered straight to you or your sweetie. Each gift box is made to reflect the recipient’s style featuring the most exquisite specialty confections. Each color-coordinated assortment of sweets is directly inspired from everything from fashion magazines to luxury fabrics, making this a truly haute treat. And it’s not too late to order either, they have two day delivery as well as overnight delivery options. So head on over to A Sweet Delivery and pick your package.
The second option, which can be combined with the first option, is a nice dinner out at Storefront Company (1941 W. North Avenue). A recent recipient of the 2013 Michelin Bib Gourmand Storefront is offering two dinner seating options for Valentine’s night. The first seating is at 6 – 6:30 p.m. and includes a four-course meal for $59 with wine pairings available for $24. The second seating is at 8 – 8:30 and guests can indulge in a five-course tasting menu for $69, with wine pairings available for $30. Reservations for either time can be made by calling 773-661-2609.
