Former Rockefeller Co-op Sells for $23 Million

News | January 3, 2013

After being on the market since 2008, the 12th floor co-op at 810 Fifth Avenue recently sold for $23.9 million. The full-floor unit was previously owned by Vice President Nelson A. Rockefeller and boasts two-bedrooms, three and a half baths, a 47-foot-long living room, two fireplaces, a library, a formal dining room, a breakfast area and staff quarters.

The co-op was initially listed for $27.5 million, but the current owner agreed to lower the asking price on the condition that the deal closed before taxes went up at the end of the year. Though board approvals can take months, the deal was finalized in just 30 days, thanks in part to the board agreeing to meet on a Saturday.
