’50 Shades of Grey’ Musical Coming to NYC this Weekend
After a successful run in Chicago, “50 Shades! The Musical” is heading to the Big Apple. But don’t expect a re-enactment of Christian Grey’s red room of pain, the show is actually a spoof of the sultry bondage romance novel Fifty Shades of Grey.
“It winks at the novel — but there’s some sexiness too,” the show’s director, Albert Samuels, told the New York Post. “It’s a super-fun time.”
Featuring singing, dancing — and plenty of sexual innuendo — the musical is composed of 11 original songs including “They Get Nasty,” “I Don’t Make Love, I F#*!” and “There’s a Hole Inside of Me.”
The show will be performed Friday and Saturday at the Gramercy Theater.
