Five Gold Coast Hotels Make Gold List

Every year there is a list compiled by Conde Nast Traveler that promises to set the gold standard in travel. This list is produced by thousands (a record number 47,000) of travelers over the course of a year. It is rigorously tested and screened in an attempt at making it as accurate for the people reading it as possible. This collection of information is called the Gold List and it represents the best of the best of places to stay in the world.

The travelers who participate in this Readers’ Choice Survey are grading these hotels, resorts and cruises on an 100 point scale in the following areas: Rooms, Service, Food, Location, Design and Activities. They all get averaged to create a Readers Choice Award Score.  What comes from this is an extremely impressive list of the most luxurious places in the world. And Chicago is home to five of them. Four of the five Chicago hotels are on the Platinum list for being on this exclusive list for the last five years, which is no easy feat (The Waldorf Astoria is the only one not to make the Platinum List).

Here at Haute Living we are already ahead of the curve, having already highlighted three of the five hotels on this list. These hotels are just proof that Chicago is one of the best cities to live and vacation in the world and our Gold Coast is incomparable. I have listed the Gold List hotels below with their overall scores and contact information. So without further ado, we would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to the following hotels:
