PAWS Chicago’s 11th Annual Fur Ball
I have grown aware of the intense love that is bestowed upon pets as I’ve gotten older. I see some people have closer relationships with their dogs than with actual human beings. Maybe it’s because pets are known to be loyal, and sometimes people can be less than that. Some people go as far as calling their pets their son or daughter. Bottom line, there are pets that get a lot of unconditional love from their owners. But there are also a lot of homeless cats and dogs that doesn’t receive any love, caring or tending to at all. That’s where PAWS Chicago steps in.
If you are a lover of animals or just want to do something to help the homeless dogs and cats of Chicago, there’s a way to help. PAWS Chicago is hosting its 11th annual Fur Ball on Nov. 9th at the Drake Hotel (140 E. Walton). This is a full-fledged, red carpet, black tie event. Famous guests including DIY Network’s Alison Victoria and musician Billy Corgan will be in attendance. Along with a buffet dinner and dancing, the Fur Ball will include silent and live auctions to help raise funds. Tickets are $400 per person, and your four-legged friends are invited too, at $100 per pet. To purchase tickets visit Furball.pawschicago.org.
