The Joffrey Ballet has added a new element to their program this season. For the whole 2012-2013 “Mavericks of Dance” season there will be a pre-performance “Meet The Artists” opportunity. This lecture series will allow the audience to meet the dancers, visiting choreographers and other members of the creative team. It’s a pretty nice feature, especially for those really interested in the behind the scenes processes of the ballet. I’m sure you have a ton of Black Swan questions to ask.
What makes this even better is you don’t have to show up hours and hours before the show. The event will take place approximately one hour before curtain at the Auditorium Theatre. It will last basically until the house opens and is available to all ticket holders and Joffrey Ballet subscribers. Unfortunately, the first show, Human Landscapes, has wrapped but the dates and times of the “Meet The Artists” sessions for the next two shows of the season are below. If you would like to learn more about the Joffrey Ballet or for tickets, you can go to joffrey.org.
