Emporio Armani Opens in Gold Coast
Though Chicago has a long way to go to meet New York in the fashion world, the city has been making huge strides. With more and more high end, luxury brands opening stores in the Gold Coast, Chicago is becoming an even better option for the upscale shopper. The latest opening is Emporio Armani. Opening a huge two story, 6,000 square foot shop on Oak Street, next to the stores like Hermes and Barneys, this new store gives shoppers another reason not to fly all the way to New York.
Designed in Milan and filled with sleek and polished finishes, the new Emporio Armani store will carry the complete men and women’s collections. Towering black glass wardrobes and gray stone floors are the backdrop to the mostly dark clothes that dominates the latest collections. It’s a good time for Chicagoans who are fans of fashion, luxury and convenience. The Gold Coast is becoming a high-end fashion powerhouse (mixed with some affordable luxury) and hopefully we will be rivaling New York for dominance in this market, sooner rather than later.
