Bespoke Dining: Kitchit Launches in Chicago

After launching in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York over the past year, Kitchit has finally made their way to Chicago. Kitchit is a site that offers customers the opportunity to bring some of their favorite restaurants into their own kitchen. They call it a “bespoke dining experience” because you can create your own perfect culinary evening.

Kitchit brings fine dining to private residences by working with some of the area’s most celebrated chefs. You can pick which chef you want, create the menu with the chef and sit back while the chef actually comes to your home and creates the meal for your family or dinner guests. It’s the perfect thing to have for any upcoming dinner parties you have planned. It’s a great service, made better by the fact that the chef handles the clean-up as well, giving you the opportunity to fully enjoy the evening.

Kitchit’s website makes it incredibly easy and the chefs bring the ingredients and all. They do everything from cooking classes, casual meals to lavish dinner parties. And these are not a bunch no-name chefs, you get to pick from some of the best chefs in the area. Chris Pandel (The Bristol), Matthew Kirkley (L2O), Pat Sheerin (Trenchermen), Sarah Grueneberg (Spiaggia), and Mark Pollard (Epic) are just some of the amazing chefs you can choose from. Just a quick note, Kitchit will be holding a fundraiser on 12/03/12 for Brooklyn restaurant Governor, which was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. The event will be held at the Jane Addams Hull House (800 South Halsted) at 7pm and will cost $100 for dinner and cocktails. For dinner only it’s $75 and for the after party only it will be $25.
