News | June 4, 2012

“You’re already famous, now you’re going to make me famous,” photographer Lawrence Schiller said to Marilyn Monroe. “Don’t be so cocky,” Marilyn replied, “photographers can be easily replaced.”

Tomorrow night at TASCHEN’s Lincoln Road outpost, famed photographer Larry Schiller will be taking part in an intimate Q&A with Gallerist Rudolf Budja; revealing the layers of his relationship with icon Marilyn Monroe chronicled in his new book Marilyn & Me.

Schiller’s story takes readers back in time, offering them insight into one of the world’s most legendary starlets. The book also features never-before-seen photographs of Monroe.

With the special event taking place just days after what would have been her 86th birthday, the interview between Budja and Schiller is sure to uncover exactly what made Monroe the icon she remains.
