Expertly Styled: Warren Tricomi’s Luis Canas

Undoubtedly one of the best salons on SoBe, Warren Tricomi is home to a dream team of expert stylists. One such expert is Luis Canas; here’s our Q&A with a man who works wonders.

HL: Which area do you specialize in?

LC: I have always done both cut and color. Though, I’ve been rated one of the five colorists in New York City by Cosmopolitan and Allure magazines.

HL: What brought you to become a stylist?

LC: My family owned a hair salon in Europe so I grew up in the industry. I love that I can go to work and express my creativity while making people look and feel great.

HL: Where did you work before Warren Tricomi?

LC: I started my career in Europe and have worked all over the world. When I moved to the US, I opened my own salon on the Upper East Side in New York City.

HL: What makes Warren Tricomi different from other Miami salons?

LC: I was drawn to Warren Tricomi because of its strong New York influence in the fashion and beauty industries. Our Miami location combines New York fashion with south beach style.

HL: Ever style a star? If so, who?

LC: I worked in TV, including Good Morning America and MTV shows. I have styled everyone from Jerry Seinfeld to Adrianna Lima. My work has been featured in major magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Allure, and most recently In Style, where I was featured for the best haircut in Miami.

HL: Any styling tips for summer?

LC: A great summer trick I recommend to my clients to is brew some chamomile tea, cool it, and put it into a spray bottle. Spray it on your hair when you go out in the sun and it will give your color a natural, sun kissed glow.
