The San Francisco MOMA’s Modern Ball took place on Wednesday evening and included a fundraising gala, a live auction, a pre-party at the Supper Club and a Post-Modern Party. Proceeds from the live auction went to many of the museum’s programs and innovative educational programs that allows individuals to access the museum at discounted rates or for free.

The annual event began in 2005 and over the years has attracted younger supporters. To begin the lavish evening, guests enjoyed a Gala Dinner that was catered by chef Hubert Keller of Fleur de Lys. Musical entertainment followed provided by the Hot Club of San Francisco. The guests then moved on to a live auction featuring artwork by guest artist Doug Aitken followed by a pre-party at the Supper Club where guests sipped Chandon Champagne and Patron Signature Cocktails and munched on bites from McCall catering. Decorated by Stanlee Gatti, the ceiling at the Supper Club was lit up with oversized light bulbs.

At the 9 p.m. Post-Modern Party, guests enjoyed a light installation behind the dance floor and music by DJ Vin Sol.
