Featuring carbon fiber forks, handlebars, brake levers, frame, stem and seat post, the new Porsche RS bike is part of the Porsche Design Driver’s Selection spring collection.
The design inspiration behind Porsche’s new bicycles is said to be the classic lines of the Porsche 911. The high-performance bikes are intended for recreation but engineered for speed. Weighing only 19.8 pounds, the 29-inch Porsche RS (Racing Sport) edition combines light-weight and premium components such as Magura hydraulic disc brakes.
With a liberal use of carbon fiber, the RS comes standard with a Shimano 20-speed gear set and custom pedals with an Electric Blue finish to contrast the bike’s black frame. Sold exclusively through authorized Porsche dealers, the bikes are available in small, medium and large sizes.
In addition to the haute bicycles, the Speed of Sports Collection also has 14 new accessories such as the limited edition men’s Martini Racing jacket, Martini Racing baseball caps, polo shirts and aviator sunglasses.
