Haute Event Preview: Rubin Museum of Art To Host Harboring Hearts Spring Gala

On Tuesday, May 22, New York’s Rubin Museum of Art will host the Harboring Hearts Spring Gala, chaired by Hope Geier Smith and Claudia Chan.

The black-tie event will honor Dr. Yoshifumi Naka, Cardiothoracic Surgeon and Associate Professor at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, Dr. Donna Mancini, Medical Director of Cardiac Transplantation at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center and Sudhir Choudhrie, Professor of Cardiology at the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care at Columbia University Medical Center for their leadership in the field of cardiology.

Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a special silent auction as they enjoy cocktails and hors d’oevres. The gala will also feature special performances by American Idol’s Clay Aiken, The New York City Pops and DJs Nick Cohen and Alexandra Richards.

Harboring Hearts is a non-profit organization founded by heart disease survivors and their families with the mission of aiding other patients by providing both housing and emotional support while they are being treated.
