Haute Event: Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America 19th Annual Women of Distinction Luncheon

On Tuesdsay May 1, The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), Greater New York Chapter, hosted their Nineteenth Annual Women of Distinction Luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria. This year’s luncheon which raised close to $1.7 million was hosted by Co-Anchor, Nightline, ABC News’ Cynthia McFadden. The event featured a fashion show presented by Bergdorf Goodman, which featured the Fall Collection of renowned fashion designer Oscar de la Renta with make-up by Trish McEvoy.

The Women of Distinction Luncheon once again honored two outstanding women and a young Rising Star. Diane Goldman, Past President of the New England CCFA Chapter received the Woman of Distinction Award. Ellen J. Scherl, M.D, Director of the Roberts Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, at Weill Medical College of Cornell University/ New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York and Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons was honored with the Women of Distinction in Medicine. And 7-year-old Addie Nelson received this year’s Rising Star Award.

Guests in attendance included Eliza Bolen, Tiffani Thiessen, Selita Ebanks, Adrienne Baillon, Trish McEvoy, Anne Keating, Rosanna Scotto and Julie Minskoff .
