Event Recap: Diamonds at the W with Diamond Empowerment Fund & Haute Living

The W South Beach Hotel and Residences played host to one of the hautest events to kick off the summer; a fete created by Russell Simmons’ Diamond Empowerment Fund alongside sponsoring parties including Haute Living, Bombay Sapphire and Ride Centric. The poolside event set the stage for a perfect evening; one that was filled with savory sips, posh raffle items and VIP guests. DEF’s mission is to raise money to support education initiatives that develop and empower economically disadvantaged people in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource. All in all, the event was a smashing success, raising some $4,000 for the DEF cause through raffle ticket purchases.
