Twenty-one specialist designers have come together to create high-end clothes and accessories for dogs that will help the charitable cause of “Pug Dogs for Happy Kids”, which is run by UNICEF on eBay.

Top designers are lending their expertise for dog couture and charity by designing mini outfits and accessories. The bidding on eBay for the pet designer wear began on March 19 and have been selling quite well.

Examples of what is being offered include a Balmain tribute to Nudie Cohn, which has elements in design similar to Balmain’s Spring/Summer Collection 2012. It includes intricately cut rhinestones, a floral motif and embroidered details. Also in the collection is a design by footwear designer Giusepe Zanotti who worked around the theme of “bijoux” and created a special edition leather and gold plated offering for pets. Valentino also got involved, creating a red strapping vest, studded with polish all around.
