The annual TurtleFest is returning to Juno Beach this Saturday and this year the Marinelife Center is collaborating with the Earth Day Network to focus more attention on uniting people to one goal: caring for the planet.

TurtleFest 2012 will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach’s Loggerhead Park. Admission to the event is free and will include children’s games, educational presentations, art exhibits and shopping. There will also be a “Global Village” where guests can see how the U.S. ranks compared with the ocean conservation efforts of other countries.

A “Run 4 the Sea” event will take place on Friday evening at 6 p.m. The four-mile run will take you along scenic A1A and will also feature a smaller 1 mile run for kids, which starts at 6:15 p.m. A post-race celebration will be held following the races with food and music. All race proceeds will benefit conservation efforts.

On Sunday, there will be an 8 a.m. beach cleanup hosted by Loggerhead Park.
