Actor, producer and screenwriter John Cusack will be heading to Moscow this weekend to present a new Edgar Allen Poe thriller called The Raven. Cusack plays a writer in the movie who is pursuing a killer seemingly copying the murders in his stories.

The Raven is directed by James McTeigue and is a fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allen Poe’s life, during which the poet pursues a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer’s stories. Starring John Cusack, Alice Eve and Luke Evans, The Raven, was written by Ben Livingston and Hannah Shakespeare.

Cusack is a Chicago-born actor who has built a successful career playing underdogs and odd men out. With the exception of his mother, Nancy, a former math teacher, the entire Cusack family is in the show business. His father, Dick Cusack is an actor and filmmaker while his siblings Joan Cusack, Ann Cusack, Bill Cusack and Susie Cusack are all actors.

Cusack will be arriving in Moscow on Sunday for the first premiere of The Raven.
