Jean Paul Gaultier Appointed Diet Coke’s New Creative Director

Last Sunday, front row guests at Jean Paul Gaultier’s autumn/winter show were treated to Coca Cola drinks. Little did they know the beverages were a hint at his newest role as Diet Coke’s creative director.

The fashion icon will be designing the brand’s bottles and cans, as well as starring in promotional films as a therapist, journalist and detective. He will also work with the company’s advertising campaigns, online projects and retail events.

Jean Paul Gaultier is not the first fashion designer to create new bottles for Diet Coke; he is following in the footsteps of notables like Karl Lagerfeld, Marni, Roberto Cavalli, Matthew Williamson and Gianfranco Ferre.
