Haute Couture: Chanel Celebrates Opening of Avenue Montaigne Boutique in Paris

A Chanel party took place at the new boutique that just opened at 51 Avenue Montaigne in Paris in the presence of Karl Lagerfeld. After enjoying a mineral-themed show, Chanel’s team feted the opening in one of the most prestigious addresses in the world.
The 6,500-square-foot boutique will house Chanel along with all of Karl Lagerfeld’s creations including ready-to-wear, watches, fine jewelry, handbags, shoes, costume jewelry and other accessories. The boutique is inspired by the refined private apartment of Mademoiselle Chanel at 31 rue Cambon and is set over two floors.
Guests at the Chanel 51 Avenue Montaigne opening party included French actresses Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Joana Preiss, Virginie Ledoyen, Elisa Sednaoui and Anna Mouglalis, Chanel ambassadress Chinese actress Zhou Xun, Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen, British actress Kaya Scodelario, Canadian singer Coeur de Pirate and Brazilian actress Laura Neiva.
The opening celebration included a cocktail reception followed by a live concert given by British group Django Django.
