Johnnie Walker Double Black Now Available in Singapore

A particularly intense variant of Johnnie Walker Black label has been released in Singapore. Called Double Black, the premium blended whiskey is the newest addition to the Johnnie Walker family of Scotch whiskey.
Beginning with the Black Label template, Double Black features peatier malts and malts aged in heavily charred oak barrels to produce a smokier dram than the original. While Black Label is aged for 12 years, Double Black carries no age statement.
Appealing to Johnnie Walker fans looking for a whiskey with moderate peat smoke, Double Black offers aromas of peat smoke, oak and dried fruits with hints of vanilla and spice.
Now available in Singapore, Double Black is as compelling as Black Label with a “special magic to it,” according to Johnnie Walker’s Master Blender, Jim Beveridge.
“I have created this blend taking whiskies that have been matured in charred wood and whiskies that have a naturally smoky flavor, blending them to deliver a smokier, more intense experience.”
