Water Grill’s $1.5 million Renovation Nearing Completion

Water Grill has been undergoing an expansive $1.5 million renovation but the re-opening is near as the restaurant indicates on their website they will be open for business in mid-January.

The casual-elegant American/Seafood restaurant is a highly respected eatery in Los Angeles that is undergoing renovations to make the space more modern. According to reports, the space is currently outfitted completely in plywood but signs of a new contemporary design and lighter palate are emerging. Oversized booths in an open layout are expected but no word yet on who will be replacing chef Amanda Baumgarten. Water Grill’s new menu is expected to feature new dishes with “a fresh selection of craft beer on tap and in bottle.”

Menu items are priced between $31 and $50. The restaurant has been around for two decades and is a staple in the upscale dining segment of downtown Los Angeles.
