Strictly Come Dancing Returns for Fifth Season

Strictly Come Dancing will return for a fifth season this month as celebrities and professional dancers battle it out at the 02 Arena.

The multi-million pound production has been given the go-ahead for a fifth season and fans of the show will be able to tune in soon. England’s favorite celebrities and professional dancers will be trying out new routines this January and competing against each other to impress a panel of judges and the viewing public.

Similar to the U.S.’s Dancing With The Stars show, Strictly Come Dancing has run on BBC One since 2004. The show’s format has been exported to over 30 countries.

Each celebrity is paired with a professional partner and each duo battles against other celebrities to survive a weekly elimination round.

Alesha Dixon, a former judge on Strictly Come Dancing, recently received a job offer from Simon Cowell to join Britain’s Got Talent.
