Stars of Design to be Honored by Design Center of the Americas

The world’s leading professionals in the design industry will be honored at the Sixth Annual Stars of Design Awards on February 1^st at the Design Center of the Americas.

The Stars of Design Awards, established more than a decade ago, honors professionals for their talent, ideas, creativities and business-savvy in the categories of interior design, architecture, graphic design, product design, landscape design, photography, art and lifetime achievement.

This year, DCOTA will add a new category to the awards which will honor five designers, 40 years of age or younger, who have made astonishing accomplishments in the design field. The “Stars on the Rise” are Alison Antrobus, Eric Winnick, Joe Fava, A. Keith Powell and Donanne Ramos.

The 2012 honorees include Clodagh (Lifetime Achievement); Chad Oppenheim (Architecture); Jennifer Post (Interior Design); Kiran Shiva Akal (Graphic Design); Franco Pianegonda (Product Design); DJ Hay (Landscape Design); Iran Issa Khan (Photography); and Henry Richardson (Art).
