The Sake & Sushi Ice Bar is Aqua Kyoto’s new winter terrace offering alfresco dining surrounded by hand-carved ice sculptures.

With comforting and stylish outdoor seating away from the busy West End, guests can enjoy sky-high views while treating themselves to warm sake cocktails and hot bowls of Japanese dishes. To fight the frigid elements, outdoor heaters and cozy cashmere blankets are available.

Made from rice, Sake is the soup of Japan and Aqua Kyoto has an impressive selection including Dessai, a pure sake made from rice that has been polished to 23% of the original size, making it the highest degree of milling of any sake.

To accompany the sake, Head Chef Jordan Sclare has a range of sushi dishes available including torched salmon sushi topped with guacamole and sea bass suchi with chili and sesame. If you’re more interested in noodle dishes, Jordan also has an array of warm hand-held bowls including stir-friend winter chestnut udon noodles and steamed king crab leg in miso soup.

The Sushi & Sake Ice Bar opened on November 30 and will be open for business through February 12. Aqua London is located on the 5th floor at 240 Regent Street, London.
