Pub and Brasserie Fusion, 3rd Street Station to Open Soon

News | December 7, 2011

Dion Rottman of Isla Vista’s Silver Greens and nightlife entrepreneur Sky Reiss plan to open a new gastropub: 3rd Street Station.  As the name indicates, the restaurant will be located on Third Street in L.A. and is slated to complete construction and open its doors in 2012.  The menu will come from New York’s Chef Greg DeMichiel of green catering company EAT and the cuisine will not be your run-of-the-mill pub cuisine, but rather it will exhibit inspirations from Rottman’s French mother’s hometown.

The official concept is I-see-London-I-see-France; “local pub meets breezy brasserie”.  The food will be locally sourced but reflect regional European flavors and styles.  Official statements from the restaurant tell us to anticipate appearances from Niman Ranch and Carlsbad Aquafarm to star in dishes like sous vide short ribs and smoked blond oysters, respectively.  There will be a full bar and with that, a vibrant nightlife scene—open until 2:00 A.M.
