A branch of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), located in the heart of West Hollywood, the Pacific Design Center features always-changing exhibitions of art, architecture, design, selections from MOCA’s permanent collection and Art Catalogues, a book store specializing in current and out-of-print exhibition catalogues and books on contemporary art. The PDC houses California’s top decorating and furniture market, with showrooms, public and private spaces and two restaurants operated by restaurateur Wolfgang Puck. sbe Restaurant Group’s latest addition to West Hollywood is an Italian eatery, marketplace and bar- featuring fine fare from Chef Danny Elmaleh. With city sophistication and just enough cool, the two-story space is designed as a “market of glass” connected by a glass floor-to-ceiling wine case and includes four kitchens- for antipasti, cheese and charcuterie that is lined with bar seats, an open kitchen that includes a wood-burning oven for pizza and a homemade pasta area. The vast space also houses a cocktail kitchen featuring house-made syrups and boutique spirits and a restaurant kitchen which creates dishes using imported ingredients, authentic techniques and artisan influences.
