W.i.P. no longer a W.I.P.

News | November 18, 2011

An art-themed nightclub called W.i.P, which appropriately stands for “Work in Progress”, opened in Greenhouse’s sub-basement.    The space has been just that; a work in progress, for over a year before the 5,000 square-foot nightclub–brought to you by the Collective Hardware team– premiered on Wednesday night.

The opening night guests sampled from the art world, PR people and friends, and some VIPs such as actor Dean Winters.  The main room entertains 250 people with 24 VIP table areas and, as is obligatory with an art-themed anything, seven larger-than-life paintings lining the walls.  Whether this will be the next hot spot is yet to be seen, but for now it certainly is a tantalizing option for sipping $13 cocktails ($50 credit card minimum) and mingling admist “the scene”.  Oh, and–W.i.P. is pronounced whip. Just a little F.Y.I.
