Coolhaus Gets a Cool House

Coolhaus, the artisan ice cream truck with a die-hard cult following , will finally take its ultra successful concept to a permanent location.  Coolhaus opens its Culver City store tomorrow, which will feature the same massive menu of ice cream and cookie flavors—to be allocated into custom ice cream sandwiches— as the food trucks in L.A., New York City, and Miami.

While the crew originally intended to open in the heat of summer, technical glitches set them back—perhaps adding even more anticipation to the 8588 Washington Blvd. opening.  Other menu offerings include Blue Bottle Coffee, Coolhaus’ own hot chocolate, soda floats, ice cream cookie cakes, and chicory tea.  The opening is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. tomorrow and the store is supposed to be an interactive haven, complete with a magnetic wall.
