Bono’s Red Campaign Partners with New Club W.I.P. to Benefit NY’s Health People and to Introduce Belvedere Vodka’s Red Special Edition

The evening of December 1, World AIDS DAY,  Health People’s, Kids-Helping-Kids, the only NYC mentoring program for children whose parents have AIDS will benefit from a special evening introducing BELVEDERE Vodka’s Product Red Special Edition for Bono’s Product Red Campaign at the extraordinary new club W.I.P.

The PRODUCT RED Party begins at 10 PM to 2 AM. Admission is free but a donation of $10 is appreciated.

In addition to donating 50% of the ongoing profits from (PRODUCT) RED to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, on this extraordinary evening Belvedere is donating direct funds to Health People, the South Bronx based organization that sponsors Kids-Helping-Kids, the only NYC mentoring program for children whose parents have AIDS

Appropriately, the evening will display and offer for sale internationally acclaimed artist April Gornik’s limited edition SIGNED lithograph, “The Woods” for $600. The limited edition of 55 was created exclusively for Health People by Gornik a longtime supporter of the organization. Also on sale will be large AIDS Day Banners made by the kids of Health People.

Singer Lesley Gore and former Elaine’s Restaurant manager Diane Becker will join Health People’s founder and executive director Chris Norwood in welcoming guests to the party.

Health People is unique in the United States as a groundbreaking peer organization which helps people from low-income communities become leaders to effectively fight chronic ill health. Started in 1990 as a women’s AIDS prevention and support program, Health People has grown to provide a full range of AIDS services for men, women and families, as well as to start a large community asthma program, New York’s first diabetes peer educators program and a community smoking cessation program.
