Construction Chic : LeMay meets Louboutin

Raising more than $550,000 for Tacoma’s newest “Museum District” resident, it is safe to say that last weekends “Hard Hat’s and High Heels Event” at the acclaimed and highly anticipated LeMay Museum was a smashing success.

If we could paint you a picture of what “construction chic” looks like, believe us we would.  Rather, we’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, and we can tell you with certainty, Carthartt’s  never looked so good…

The evening included a reception (our first glimpse of a hard hat) and dinner, silent and live auctions (about 130 items!), along with tours throughout the facility, which served to SPOTLIGHT a variety of ACM’s 500 + cars, including a 1927 LaSalle 303 Roadster (if you’re a bit like us, find the link to the vehicle here) , a 1965 Lotus 35 Formula 1 race car donated to the museum by ACM board member (and Tacoma native) John and Marilyn Dimmer.

Additional notable guests included, Bill and Gail WeyerhaeuserJohn and Sally BarlineJamie and Sally WillTom and Ann-Marie HedgesKarl and Christine AndersonPaul and Gloria Miller and Corry and Donna McFarland. The evening was emceed by television personality Rob Weller of Entertainment Tonight.
