Bass Museum of Art Celebrates Halloween with an Eerie Egyptian Gallery and More

News | October 26, 2011

Bass Museum of Art is celebrating Halloween with a special display and beyond.

On October 30 from 2-4 pm, Bass invites families to come by and enjoy fun Halloween-themed activities including art projects, face painting and scavenger hunts. The winner of the museum’s costume contest wins a surprise.

The only Egyptian gallery in Florida, this showcase spreads across 460 square feet. Fourteen ancient Egyptian items will be displayed alongside an Egyptian sarcophagus and mummy. The objects represent what would have been placed inside the tombs to help the dead transition to the afterlife.
