Yigal Azrouel Spring 2012 Collection at New York Fashion Week

With the end of summer, color begins to fade as well so what better start to Fashion Week than with a burst of vibrant hues from Yigal Azrouel, whose designs mature with each collection. The Yigal Azrouel Spring 2012 collection embraced the combination of masculinity and femininity, conjuring the image of a strong and confident woman, which is further reflected in the minimal and structured compositions. Silhouettes are elongated and linear, simplistic yet architectural. By using luxurious fabrics like lambskin, wool and silk chiffon, the pieces came together to embody a collection full of fresh and modern ease. With a hint of sensuality, the structured and sometimes modest pieces were made in a range of neutrals with splashes of bold citrine, mars and cognac hues. Forget Fall, i’m ready to place my Spring order.
