Haute Auto: Maxximus Prodigy Supercar

Haute Auto, News | September 23, 2011

North American company Maxximus announced a new supercar called the Prodigy that will run on liquid natural gas and will be powered by a proprietary 330 ci engine.

Equipped with twin turbochargers, which will develop 2,000 hp, the Prodigy supercar will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds and go from 0 to 100 mph and back to 0 in just 8.9 seconds.

Maxximus will build the Prodigy on a carbon fiber and Chromalloy chassis and the car will be outfitted with a carbon body as well. Inside, the engine will feature several innovations such as Digital valve technology that is able to reduce the friction inside the engine, which in turn, reduces power loss.

For those who enjoy supercars but never want to sacrifice comfort, the Maxximus Prodigy delivers in that aspect as well. It will feature a Macintosh sound system, satellite navigation and climate control. But luxury and speed doesn’t come cheap: The Maxximus Prodigy supercar is going to be priced around the $1 million mark.
