Haute 100 Update: Eva Longoria Co-Hosts the 2011 NCLR ALMA Awards for Star-Studded Guest List [PHOTOS]

On Saturday, September 10, Eva Longoria hosted the 2011 National Council of La Raza (NCLR) ALMA Awards, a unique tribute to the spirit of pioneering Latinos in television, film, and music. The radiant Desperate Housewives star, recent Haute Living cover girl, and Latina philanthropist co-hosted the awards ceremony – which will air on NBC on Friday, September 16 – with comedian George Lopez.

Longoria has been an ardent supporter of the advancement of Latinos, recently through the debut of her documentary exposing child labor in the U.S. at NCLR’s annual meeting in July. Since 1995, the NCLR ALMA Awards has been devoted to promoting fair and accurate examples of Latinos in the entertainment realm.

Previous recipients of the prestigious awards include Salma Hayek, Narciso Rodriguez, America Ferrera, Edward James Olmos, and more. This year, the awards show takes place at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles and was attended by the likes of Jessica Alba, Marcia Cross, Naya Rivera, Demi Lovato, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, Benjamin Bratt, Mario Lopez, and many more.

To watch the star-studded awards show, tune in to your local NBC station at 8:00 p.m. EDT this Friday, September 16.
