Miami’s Femme Fatals Bare All For P.E.T.A.
Recently photographer Jordan Michael Zuniga debuted his latest works, “Women in Cages”, at Cafeina in Wynwood with a VIP cocktail reception to benefit People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The exhibition explores the politics surrounding the treatment of animals, and his subjects are some of Miami’s most famous faces, including Brooke Hogan, Ines Rivero, Katrina Campins, Michelle Pooch, Elaine Lancaster and Tara Solomon, to name a few.
Each woman is captured as an artistic nude to form part of PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign. Eighty percent of the proceeds from all sales of these photographic works were donated to PETA. This powerful, sensual exhibition will be on display at Cafeina until Sept. 10.
At age 19 with $700 in cash and a backpack full of ambition, Jordan jumped on a UK-bound plane with the intention of living in Europe, seeing the world and finding out where photography could take him. In Amsterdam, he caught a glimpse of what fashion photography was like and within a few months he was hooked. He soon began knocking on modeling agency doors and was eventually hired as a test photographer, and the rest is history.
Jordan’s endeavors has brought him to work with many professional entities in the U.S. and abroad, including Fashion TV, Elite Model Management, Next, Ford Models, Front Management, MC2 Model Management, True Religion, ADT, the U.S. Navy, SiTV, Mercedes-Benz, Victoria’s Secret, Warner Bros. and Casa Casuarina. So, it is no surprise that his works wowed all present for this Haute event.
Afterwards Brooke Hogan, the former reality television star, was seen on the rooftop penthouse of the Hotel Breakwater in South Beach in celebration mode after discovering the sale of her photo from “The Women in Cages” exhibition. The photo sold for $5000, in which she posed nude to help raise awareness and donations against animal cruelty. This was the perfect Hogan family start to all the festivities to follow for Hulk Hogan’s birthday with close friends and family.
