Super Saturday: The Super Bowl of Shopping

The much-anticipated shopping extravaganza sold items from more than 200 high end designers.

Finally, the event that fashionistas have been waiting for all year. Super Saturday, also known as the Super Bowl of all shopping events, brings hundreds of the Hamptons’ elites out for a day of fun, sun, shopping and of course, fundraising.

This day-long annual event at Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill is notorious for its luxe fashion finds. But Super Saturday is much more than just a day of great shopping. Hosted by Emma Roberts, Kelly Ripa, Donna Karan, Ariel Foxman and InStyle, the 14th Annual Super Saturday on July 30 raised $3.5 million for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

The event’s festivities included a “fashion garage sale,” a carnival, children’s activities, a raffle and entertainment to benefit the OCRF, which is currently the largest private philanthropy in the United States dedicated exclusively to funding ovarian cancer research.

Since 1998, OCRF has invested nearly $40 million in ovarian cancer research through grants to scientists at more than 60 leading medical centers in the United States.

Some A-list attendees on this year’s guest list were Kris Humphries, Rachel Zoe, Chord Overstreet, Abigail Breslin, Kelly Rutherford, Matthew Settle, Edie Falco, La La Anthony, Mark Feuerstein, Christa Miller, Gayle King, Beth Ostrosky Stern, Christy Turlington Burns, Karlie Kloss, Stephanie March, Star Jones, Lisa Rinna, Kyle MacLachlan and Dhani Jones.

The much-anticipated shopping extravaganza sold items from more than 200 high end designers, including Donna Karan, Theory, Jimmy Choo, Pratesi, Robert Rodriguez, Diane von Furstenberg, Elizabeth & James, Haute Hippie and Ralph Lauren.

For the fourth year in a row, the “Designers A to Zoe” booth by Rachel Zoe featured luxury designers such as Kara Ross, Rag & Bone, Marc Jacobs, Elise Overland, Jean Paul Gaultier and Etro.

With A-list attendees, super shopping and fundraising for charity, Super Saturday once again proved to be one of our favorite seasonal events.
