Michael Fredo Opens Tommy Hilfiger Inspired Salon

News | August 3, 2011

Inspired by his designer uncle, Tommy Hilfiger and modeled after his first retail venture “People’s Place” Michael Fredo is opening the theatrical Michael Fredo Salon on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

Already gaining a celebrity clientele in its soft opening- NYC Real Housewife LuAnn De Lessepes had her hair and make done there last week- the Parisian-inspired hair salon, owned by Fredo, will celebrate it’s official grand opening in September.

Backed by a team of talented stylists, the salon will also feature a “beauty bar” menu of healthy fruit smoothies for an additional charge and a serenity sculpture outfitted with baby  turtles and fish that will keep even the antsy kids busy while mom gets pampered.

Fredo, a former pop star (he had the 90s Billboard single “This Time Around”) and still brings his musical passion to salon by  performing musical renditions at the in-salon piano at the top of ever hour. Eventually Fredo plans to release a new album  entitled “Songs from the Salon.”
