Huate Event: San Francisco Beautiful Gala Launch Party

Celebrating the 2011 launch of San Francisco Beautiful, guests gathered at the Nordstom at Westfield Mall in San Francisco Thursday Aug 4th.

Coming up, don a mask or a hat with your outfit, dress as a San Francisco icon or decorate yourself as a native floral as San Francisco Beautiful is launching its Inaugural Masquerade Soiree, chaired by Sharon Seto, at the Sheraton Palace starting at 6 pm on October 14th, 2011.  The evening’s events will feature a cocktail reception and silent, live entertainment, beauty titles from various SF courts, costume contest, awards presentation, and dancing.

San Francisco Beautiful (http://www.sfbeautiful.org), is the only non-profit agency  in the Bay Area devoted to creating, enhancing and protecting the unique beauty and livability of San Francisco. San Francisco Beautiful was founded by Friedel Klussmann in 1947 with her successful campaign to save the city’s cable cars. Today, the cable cars are an instantly recognizable San Francisco symbol and SFB continues to work on projects (such as stopping billboard blight on the Golden Gate Bridge)  to ensure that the city’s history and natural environment is maintained.
