Have Your Couture, and Eat It Too: The French Laundry To Open Pop-up at Harrods

News | August 1, 2011

Famed chef, Thomas Keller will bring his Michelin-starred restaurant, The French Laundry to Harrods this fall by way of a temporary pop-up restaurant set to be open for only 10 days.

Set-to-be housed on the fourth floor, the pop-up restaurant promises to stay true to the aesthetic of the original French Laundry, mimicking it in every way, from tableware to the nine-course dining tradition at both lunch and dinner. Classic menu options will be available, as well as a handful of exclusive creations that have been custom made for Harrods, in an effort to deliver a menu representative of the very best Keller has to offer, at about $400 per lunch.

Opening on October 1st, Keller and some 14 members of his Yountville, California-based French Laundry establishment will travel across the pond for this exciting culinary collaboration. And being that bookings are limited to lunch and dinner for no more than 10 days, reservation lines will open a month in advance, on September 1st. Details of how to book are still to be announced.

Bon Appetit.
