Busy Week Ahead for Azul Chef Joel Huff

News | August 2, 2011

Chef Joel Huff of Azul at the Mandarin Oriental, one of the four “Chefs to Watch” by Esquire magazine, will share his talents with the nation this week. Chef Huff is scheduled to make an appearance on NBC’s Today Show tomorrow, August 3. At 9:45 am, Chef Huff will demonstrate how to prepare Crab Carbonara with Meyer Lemon, Black Pepper and Parsley.

The following day, August 4, Chef Huff will be cooking at the famed James Beard House in New York City. The James Beard House and James Beard Foundation are committed to strengthening culinary appreciation and mentoring chefs of all skill levels.

Chef Huff, Azul sommelier Cynthia Betancourt and Executive Pastry Chef Frederic Monnet will be serving a four-course menu crafted just for this event at James Beard House. The menu consists of panzanella salad, Kobe beef Carpaccio, sake marinated tilefish, and fruits and textures of summer, and each course is paired with a wine.

Azul patrons are invited to enjoy this menu in Miami from August 8 through August 10 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Enjoy wine with each course for $150 and or skip the pairings for $95.
