Haute Event: Artists Norman & Norah Stone Celebrate Exhibition at Stonescape

Artists Norman & Norah Stone celebrated the opening of the third exhibition in their award-winning art cave at Stonescape in Calistoga, California this month.

The exhibition “Politics is Personal”, curated by Thea Westreich Art Advisory Services, includes works by Richard Prince, Jeff Koons, Bruce Nauman, Sigmar Polke, Ryan Gander, Cady Noland and Piotr Uklanski, among others. All of the art works are from their personal art collection.

The opening event featured a “docent tour” of a Walid Raad installation and a site specific project by Rirkrit Tiravanija comprised of drawings based on the history of San Francisco executed by art students from Thailand and the Bay Area.

Several internationally-recognized artists were in attendance including Rirkrit Tiravanija (Thailand / New York), Matias Faldbakken (Norway), Robert Buck (New York), and Philippe Parreno (France).
