Haute Event: Jessica Alba Hosts VIP Party At Rimowa’s Reopening Flagship Store In Beverly Hills

News | May 23, 2011

The swanky travel-gear company Rimowa celebrated the reopening of its flagship store on Rodeo Drive with a VIP grand opening night event.

In the beginning of 2010, chic suitcase retailer took a short-term vault space on Rodeo Drive under Chopard while it patiently waited for the right street space to open up. Sure enough, the prefect space came about; the Beverly Hills store is now located on 313 N. Rodeo Drive.

The night was hosted by the beautiful and pregnant Jessica Alba, who was warmly gifted with two miniature trolleys for her daughters, Honor, and her second that’s on the way. “My daughter has a little roller suitcase that she takes all over the house, so now she has a very chic one,” reported Alba to the Los Angels Times. Alba too is a fan of the well-known baggage line, of which she says, “I think it’s chic and cool and the vintage ’50s style is amazing.”

Other celebs in the house that night where Joe Managaniello of “True Blood,” actress Amy Smart, and Paul Stanley of Kiss accompanied by his also pregnant wife Erin Sutton.“Tonight is like a family party,” stated Rimowa Chief Executive Dieter Morszeck, the grandson of the company’s founder. “We’re a family-owned company since 1898 and today is also for the families.”
