Haute Yachts: The Royal Couple’s $3.2 Million Ferretti Honeymoon Yacht

While a champagne-filled first-class plane ride may suffice for the rest of us, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge require a little more oomph, and privacy, for their royal honeymoon. William and Kate have decided to forgo the public eye and rent the Sea Stream – a $3.2 million luxury yacht to complement their getaway to their $6,500 a day honeymoon suite in Seychelles.

The opulent watercraft, built in Italy by the Ferretti shipyard, boasts grand VIP cabins, fabulously lit interiors, and elaborate entertainment systems. For about $42,000 a week, the magnificent yacht comes equipped with every amenity to accommodate the royal couple, including a complete stock of scuba diving equipment, wakeboard, towable donut, two double sea kayaks, and zippy jet skis for some seriously fun play time.

The spacious layout is the perfect craft for relaxing – the main aft deck provides an ideal spot for a romantic alfresco dinner and the flybridge is primed to enjoy champagne at sunset. Complete with a BBQ, Wills and Kate can enjoy the best of summer aboard, with plenty of seating, a cocktail table, and sunpads throughout to soak in the sunshine and revel in their newlywed bliss.

What the craft is perhaps best known for, however, is its ability to join the best in luxury cruising with innovative game fishing capability. The yacht itself has been extensively retrofitted with state-of-the-art game fishing gear, including forward-facing sonar, a fish finder, fighting chairs, bait rigging stations, and outriggers. There is a wide array of rods, reels, and lures to choose from, making it a set-up worthy of the pros, and therefore worthy of royalty for their adventurous retreat from it all.
