Wearable Art: the Aura Fashion Gallery
For some, fashion is truly art. Expressing yourself and showing off your style might just be the most common showcase of performance art, whether you realize it or not. For the fashion-centric, there’s a new place to get your garb, Aura Fashion Gallery, so pay a visit and make sure you’re putting your best into every performance.
Situated in Newport Beach near the trendiest spots (like the Bear Flag Fish Co. and the Cannery) you’d expect to find the latest from the fashion world at Aura Fashion Gallery — and they don’t disappoint. Featuring only local designers, Aura Fashion Gallery specializes in real art. They stock one-of-a-kind pieces whether it’s a dress or a statement necklace. Started by a DJ and designer duo, the store is a hub for creativity. Customers can mix and match from hard to find independent designers and give themselves truly unique looks that you can’t find at South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island.
One the first Sunday of every month, designer Thyme Francis and DJ Avijah Shaye host a “champagne Sunday,” where shoppers and designers can get together and look for another great piece from the rotating collections. The store is a real neighborhood shop where Francis and Shaye are more than happy to help you find a gift or get a whole new look. Don’t hesitate to stop in and give the racks a browse — you might just come out looking like a work of art.
Aura Fashion Gallery is located at 414 31st St., Suite B, in Newport Beach. For more information, call 949.566.9339.
