Noble To Offer Scent-Pairing Dinner

Wine pairing: done it. Beer pairing: seen it. If you are looking for a new planned-menu experience, drop into Noble: An American Cookery, one of Rittenhouse Square’s favorite spots for local fare and casual/elegant dining, this Tuesday, December 7, and experience a food/cocktail/scent pairing menu.

Billed as the Jo Malone & Pernod Ricard Cocktail & Scents Dinner, the four-course meal will pair a dish with a Pernod-inspired cocktail, both in turn matched with a fragrance from London’s Jo Malone.

For example, diver scallops served atop a black trumpet mushroom risotto and finished with lime zest and smoked steelhead trout roe will be paired with a glass of The Secret Garden, a refreshing blend of Absolut Vodka, basil, saffron lemon peel syrup and lime. Atop the table, diners will indulge in this first course whilst breathing in the line’s Citrus Lime Basil & Mandarin perfume.

Jo Malone’s signature scents grace fine homes across the globe. These four featured scents are all new creations from the line, which Chef Brinn Spinnott used as inspiration for the evening’s menu.

They say you eat first with your eyes, that scent is the best stirrer of memories, and we all know that taste is the epitome of an indulgent meal out. If these dishes are a pretty as they sound, guests will be in for quite a feast … for the senses.

Noble: An American Cookery is located at 2025 Sansom St., 215.568.7000, www.noblecookery.com. The event begins at 8 p.m. The price per person is $90, and includes a special gift from Jo Malone.
